Shoes, Stage 6. - The Design is in the Detail

Shoes, Stage 6.

I've finished the shoes... They took almost the entire day to create, in hours.... about 10.

Now to quilt the piece and I do have some challenges...

In fact. I only had a small piece of black fabric so I chose to add the newspaper border...

The entire quilt was assembled prior to doing the stitching.... but the stitching on the shoes actually slightly distort the edge of the black center.... it's not much and I could get away with it...BUY... I'm fussy and even a sixteenth of on inch annoys me...

So I have to come up with something interesting after I've quilted it...

On Fanciful birds comparison

This is a blog to document a challenge between friends. Carolyn Foley and Pam Holland. Each week we will make a small 6" block documenting the detail we have noticed in our experiences during that week. The rules are a bit fluffy right now, I guess we will make them up as we go.
