Today I'm working on the new Janome Horizon.
Its wonderful, I trialed it in Houston and Its the best machine for the genre I work in.
I think the first thing you notice are the huge bank of lights, I can count 5 halogen lights. There is the luxury of space on this machine...
Sitting in my studio, it's the " sports car of sewing machines"
The 11" bed is going to make it much easier to fit a large quilt into that confined space.
In my personal opinion one of the best things bought out by Janome is this freemotion foot. Based on the mechanics of a long arm machine, this foot, with the double spring has revolutionised my quilting. It moves smoothly across the fabric instead of bouncing up and down like other freemotion feet. I need to see my work clearly... so the open toe of this foot is a great advantage.... This foot comes standard with the machine.
I'm drawing with the machine...It was easy to use, the foot glided across the fabric.
Threads are balanced and really well formed.
This project is for a new class.....
