In this piece, I'm featuring her hands, her face, her walking stick and rosary beads.... the rest will be a painterly effect.
As you can see, her face is single thread. the garment is free-motion zig Zag.
I didn't know if I could do it justice, but if I manage the hands correctly I think I will have achieved the effect I was after. Now, I have a plan for the rest of the quilt.
There is a technique, to prevent it puckering... there is also a few major techniques... but I'm not going to give them away on the blog... you can come visit me in Houston !!!
