This is where I had breakfast this morning, I loved the vintage decorations... and I got some good really ideas for our new outdoor space out the back.
The food was great and the ambience, circa 1950's was even better.
I need about 10 paper lanterns for the lighting....
I found this idea on the web... so I think a couple of these would look super.
I try to buyt the stuff to make them next week.
I've been working on my web page and I have shifted a lot of projects from the blog to the web page.

4 more new books on the Bayeux Tapestry have been sent from England. I should get them in a week.
I buy my books from the Book Depository in England. They have a huge range of text and art books. AND the delivery is free.
These are books I can't buy here in Australia so I don't think I'm hurting the book shops here.
I think I'm losing it.
I went to the Fiber Arts Meeting last night armed with a special project... except that when I got there I found out it was the day before. !!!!
In my defense, I had the note in my diary for months. I have 4 computers, iPhone, ipad and an Ipod that all sync. BUT last week I realized that one of them was synced to USA central time not AU central time... so every now and then an event would jump a day.
OK, so I could have read that it was on the 13th instead of the 14th... but there you go. I had a nice drive.
When I came home, I went out to the studio to check how I had made the mistake.
I didn't lock up because I was going to come back and work. BUT I fell asleep in the chair when I was having my coffee, and in a sleep induced dazed I went straight to bed.
When I got up in the morning the studio door was wide open with the keys in it.
I went shopping at the super market... somehow I ended up with someone else s trolley I didn't notice for 10 minutes... and I was down the other end of the supermarket. So I sneaked back to where I had left my trolley and slid out of the supermarket... But I had to laugh when I thought of some poor person looking for her trolley full of cat food...!!!
I think I need to slow down a little.

I was probably the most "ill prepared for life" teenager.
I was what we called a "dork" in Australian slang.
I lived in my own world but yearned to burst from the bubble, somehow, deep down I knew I would do it one day.
Like many of you, I've walked down many roads. That of being a parent of a large multiracial adoptive family.

The excitement of Fashion Design and photgraphy and Quilting.
Sometimes, looking for adventure, I would turn right and sample a little of what was presented there, but nervously I chose to turn back on the path of security and comfort.
At other times, I took the risk and found rocky terrain that I had to work to smooth out but it was worth the risk in the end.
Right now I'm in my "right' phase.... and I'm enjoying every minute.
I can't believe it's at late as it is.
Where has the day gone?
My computer tells me the time with hourly reminders. "It's 8.00 o clock" he said said in dulcet tones.
The sun sets late these days and it's easy to loose track of time.
Things haven't run smoothly on the Bayeux for the past 3 weeks for many reasons and I began to feel concerned and out of control, but late this week I just let it flow.
I have still maintained the work schedule 6 - 8 hours a day, but I had to push myself to the absolute limit to achieve it and it didn't all happen in the time schedule I set for myself.
Family events, sickness and unscheduled work programs had to be fitted in and it was stressful for me.
The web page is coming along well, it takes a lot of time, but I'm happy with the results.

The quilt below is a pattern I designed a while ago. It's been made by a lot of people, and each one looks so different.
I had to re-create it in EQ7 and then it will be online as an I Book and it's designed for my friends in Alamogordo and for our event The Southern New Mexico Festival of Quilts.
